Sporadic Mesenteric Fibromatosis Presenting as Intra-Abdominal Sepsis

We report an unusual case of mesenteric fibromatosis, a desmoid tumor, mimicking a left upper quadrant abscess, presenting as sepsis and colonic pseudo-obstruction. A rare case of isolated giant mesenteric fibromatosis is presented. The tumor originated from the fibrous mesenteric tissue. The patient underwent laparotomy because of abdominal discomfort and sub-occlusive symptoms due to the giant mass.
